Over time, we’ve been working on making the posting experience on Flavorist simpler, faster, and more intuitive.
One of the biggest improvements has been the redesign of our post creation screen.
This update was not about adding more features it was about removing friction.

The Problem We Saw
In the earlier version, posting followed a step-by-step flow.
Users had to:
- Add title and description
- Move between multiple screens
- Complete each step before sharing
While this worked for structured content, it made simple posts feel slow.
Sharing food started to feel like filling out a form.
What We Changed
We redesigned the experience to be more natural and streamlined.
Now, everything starts on a single screen where users can:
- Add photos
- Write a caption
- Share instantly
The goal was to reduce effort and make posting feel effortless.
A Faster, Cleaner Experience
By bringing everything into one place, we removed unnecessary steps.
Users no longer need to navigate through multiple screens.
They can create and share content in seconds.
This makes the entire flow faster and easier to use.
Designed for Real Behavior
Not every post is a detailed recipe.
Sometimes it’s just:
- A dish you loved
- A quick food moment
- A restaurant experience
The new design allows users to share without being forced into a structured format.
Recipe Details, When You Need Them
For users who want to add full recipes, that option is still available.
By tapping Recipe, users can open a dedicated screen to:
- Add ingredients
- Add preparation steps
This keeps the main posting experience simple while still supporting detailed content.
Old vs New Experience
| Old Experience | New Experience |
|---|---|
| Multiple steps | Single screen |
| Form-based input | Simple and flexible |
| Slower process | Faster posting |
| Mixed content flow | Clean and focused |
| Higher effort | Low effort |
Why This Matters
When posting is simple, users are more likely to share.
By reducing friction, we make it easier for everyone to contribute — whether it’s a quick post or a detailed recipe.
Moving Forward
This update is part of our ongoing effort to make Flavorist more user-friendly and engaging.
We’ll continue refining the experience based on how people use the platform.
